  • Building Skills for Everyday Life.

    What we do

We provide individualized recreation therapy sessions, focused on building functional skills through meaningful, engaging activities. We support development across physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and daily living domains, helping children and youth strengthen independence and confidence in real-life settings. Services are thoughtfully designed around each child’s strengths, interests, and goals, with support offered in-home, in schools, and throughout the community to promote practical skill development and participation.

    Who we serve

We support children and youth ages 3-18, with diverse abilities and developmental needs, including those who benefit from additional support with communication, motor development, social skills, emotional regulation, and daily life skills. We work with children at a variety of ability levels, including those who may benefit from adapted activities, structured support, and skill development tailored to their individual strengths and readiness. Each program is designed to meet the unique needs of every child and youth.

    Why we do it

We believe meaningful participation in recreation and everyday activities creates powerful opportunities for growth, because every child deserves the chance to succeed in their own way. Through recreation therapy, children and youth develop practical skills that support independence, confidence, and engagement in daily life. Our goal is to help each child build skills that support participation at home, at school, and in the community, while creating a positive, supportive, and engaging experience.

  • Hi, I'm Emily 👋

Founder of Brightway Therapeutics — thank you for being here! I’m passionate about helping children and youth grow through meaningful, engaging experiences that build confidence, independence, and everyday life skills. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my kids and my dog, enjoying a good coffee, or singing karaoke in the living room.

That same love for connection and everyday joy is what naturally led me into my professional path. I bring 20 years of experience supporting individuals with diverse abilities across the lifespan, working in a variety of settings including long-term care, group homes, and in-home support.

Over the past eight years, I’ve focused primarily on recreation therapy after graduation, where I discovered my true passion for creating purposeful, individualized activities that help children and youth thrive in ways that feel fun, natural, and empowering.

Brightway Therapeutics was created from that passion — driven by the belief that every child deserves supportive, engaging experiences that help them build skills, grow confidence, and reach their full potential in everyday life.

I’m excited to connect with you, and start your child's Brightway Journey.
